Because Benepass is a Visa card, generally speaking, it works anywhere Visa is accepted so long as both the merchant and purchase are eligible within your benefits program.
However, it's important to note that every country and merchant has different security measures for Visa payments. Occasionally, your card will need some additional information added to it through the backend to ensure the transactions go through smoothly.
If you are abroad and you find your card is declining, you can simply Submit a Ticket Request in the upper-right corner of this page and provide us with the following:
- Full legal name
- Date of birth
- Cellphone number
With this information, our support team will be able to update your card from the backend which should reduce the chances of declining because of security measures abroad.
Are there any international fees when using Benepass abroad?
We don’t charge any conversion or currency exchange fees internally, so we would not be adding any additional costs on top of your purchases. However, we can’t control whether merchants charge an additional fee to process the transaction.
We recommend you select to pay in the local currency when given the choice, since conversion fees won’t come from our end.
