Reporting Overview & Intended Use Guide

Benepass provides a number of detailed reports that allow you and your team to track Benepass activity for your entire company.

This guide will provide an overview of the intended purpose of each report type, and hyperlink to the detailed report guide.

Account Summary Reports

Report Name Intended Use
Reconciliation Report

This report is the source of truth for all money movement on the Benepass platform. This report can be filtered and sorted to support a number of end of month or close of book functions for accounting and finance teams. All other Benepass reports are built off of this data.

Admin teams can use this report for line-by-line auditing, as well as the building blocks of any custom reporting required.

Benepass Platform Statement

This report summarizes the Itemized Reconciliation (IR) report. The totals listed here are equal to the sum of each type of spending listed on the IR for the same time period.

Admin teams can use this report to see an at-a-glance summary of the IR report.

Blue Ridge Bank (Unit) Statement

This report shows money movement into the bank account held by Benepass in your company's name. We hold funds in 2 locations - your company account with Blue Ridge, and a separate balance to fund spending with Stripe, our card provider. This report only shows a portion of Benepass held balances.

If you are looking for a summary of all "cash" balances held by Benepass, you will need to utilize either the Itemized Reconciliation or Platform Summary.

 

Specific Use Reports

Report Name Intended Use
Imputed Income Report

If your company has a taxable benefit, you will need to regularly report taxable spending on employee paychecks as "Imputed Income." This report will show all taxable spending by employee for a time period, either in aggregate and breakdown views.

HR and Payroll teams use this report to calculate YTD taxable spending, and push imputed income on employee paychecks at a regular, pre-determined cadence.

International Reimbursements Report

A summary of all reimbursements approved by international employees for a select time period. This report will show a sum of all reimbursements approved for payout, and can also be toggled to show the breakdown of included transactions.

HR and Payroll teams use this report to provide international employees their reimbursements via payroll at a regular, pre-determined cadence.

Transaction Table and Spending Reports

Dynamic searching, filtering and sorting functions on this report will allow you to customize spending summaries.

Admin teams can use this report to track individual or company-wide spending patterns. You can breakdown transactions by employee, location, benefit type, and more.
